Course Scheduling
High School Course Scheduling
The WiloStar3D high school course curricula is designed around an integrated approach to language arts, science and social studies. As a result, we schedule high school students into two core integrated 1 credit courses a semester. Students then take one .5 elective and work on PE for .5 credit. This allows students to be working on 3 credits per semester for a total of 6 credits per school year. WiloStar3D Interactive Academy students take English and history simultaneously and science and math the following semester. We have had great success with this approach over the last decade and find it very helpful in all aspects of the distance learning experience.
When a student enters our school, we schedule them into either science and math, or English and history and then allow them to choose their electives.
If students want to accelerate graduation they may choose to add on electives on an individual basis and pay individual course fees. Individual course fees for one credit vary depending on the course selected. The core WiloStar3D Interactive Academy tuition covers a full 6 credits a year. See the tuition and fee schedule for any extra fees you might expect to pay as part of our program.
Each secondary course has been designed to address specific academic standards drawn from Content Knowledge: A Compendium of Standards and Benchmarks for K-12 Education: 2nd Edition and have been provided courtesy of the Mid-continent Research for Education and Learning in Aurora, Colorado.
